POSITION SUMMARY : HydroChain stormwater management systems provide a portfolio of products to effectively manage the lifecycle of a raindrop.
The HydroChain system captures, conveys, infiltrates, stores, and finally treats the stormwater to ultimately provide usable water back to the community.
The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative will provide the important first steps in identifying project opportunities, growing stormwater product sales, providing exceptional customer satisfaction by effectively handling customer sales inquiries and introducing new products and promotions, through inbound and outbound sales calls. The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative will search for good opportunity leads utilizing various search engines and databases;
suggest and implement improvements in the leads generating process;
assign project opportunities to outside sales reps;
report on leads metrics and suggest improvements;
prepare monthly, quarterly and annual leads reports;
and use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products.
Act as an initial liaison between HydroChain support teams, engineering firms, developers, and site owners to obtain approvals to offer alternates and seek specifications.
Work with Inside Sales Team to increase project opportunities, sales volumes, and a stronger presence in the marketplace. The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative will seek to discover methods to increase customer engagement;
ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met;
build an open-communication environment for the team;
and liaise with support teams, such as Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase HydroChain stormwater product sales.
This position will be based in the Eastern U.S.
close to a major airport, so there is flexibility to travel for meetings with the customers, engineers, regulators and other key members of the HydroChain and Xerxes teams.
Flexible home office work environment is typical. DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Open and develop market opportunities for our products The primary responsibility of the Stormwater Inside Sales Representative is to qualify sales targets for the HydroChain product line, as well as establish and develop relationships to promote market opportunities for our retention/detention, infiltration, and stormwater treatment products.
Work with Sr Manager, Technical Programs Stormwater to position stormwater products to gain regulatory acceptance for their use in design and construction specifications at the local and national level with civil engineering/consulting firms. The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative will utilize various search engine databases to qualify leads for the sales team, track leads and results.
Contact outside engineering firms, contractors, end-users to position HydroChain as an alternate product for projects.
Support the outside sales team with contact info, work together to set up lunch and learns or sales calls. Get HydroChain Stormwater Products specified on projects early in the design phase.
Build relationships with influencers, engineers, contractors, and end-users.
See the project through to the final sale. Provide technical support for external reps.
Maintain and provide progress reports and lead results.
Drive Stormwater Business Development and strengthen strategic/commercial partnerships The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative is a key member of the HydroChain stormwater team and will play a major role in the strategic business development for HydroChain stormwater products in the U.S.
and Canada. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a sales environment, communicating with the outside sales team, distributors, contractors, and engineers in their daily activity.
The Stormwater Inside Sales Representative will research and discover methods to increase customer engagement;
ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met;
build an open-communication environment for the team;
and liaise with support teams, such as Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase HydroChain stormwater product sales.
Contribute to business/strategic planning and communications Contribute as required to the market development strategy for the North American stormwater market. Prepare and drive implementation of action plans for selected products/systems/ solutions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Excellent verbal and writing communication skills Bachelors Degree (Civil Engineering preferred) 1 to 2 years of relevant experience Proven sales record, management experience and solid technical background Strategy and business planning skills Proficient with MS Office Suite Expected US and Canada travel 10% Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
